Most students enter a Dallas Can! academy substantially behind their peers in measurable
skills making nearly 100% of our students "at risk."
To enroll, students must have successfully completed the eighth grade and not be
over the age of 20 when they enter grade 12. No examinations are required for acceptance.
The curriculum includes all courses needed for a Texas high school diploma.
The core subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Economics,
Physical Education, Health, Fine Arts, Technology, and Speech. Students can enroll
at any time, not just at the beginning of a semester. The student/teacher ratio
is 18 to one. The student/student advisor ratio is 45 to one.
